Apple has acquired Inductiv, a machine learning startup based in Ontario, Canada.
Reportedly, the inductive technology team has been involved in several projects, including Apple Siri, machine learning, and data science over the past few weeks. Founded by researchers at Stanford University, the University of Wisconsin and the University of Waterloo, Canada, Inductive is developing technology that uses AI to automate the identification and correction of errors in machine learning data sets.
While providing machine learning with a popular and efficient AI-enhancing method, it makes it possible to achieve great benefits while reducing human assistance. It is important to eliminate dataset errors in order to increase AI capabilities. In other words, it can be said that inductive technology improves AI efficiency by automating some of the laborious tasks for enhancing AI.
Apple has repeatedly acquired companies related to AI and peripheral technologies over the past few years. In April, it announced the acquisition of Voysis, which has technology to enhance AI natural language interpretation, and also acquired NextVR, which has virtual reality technology, which is a little different from AI.
