Facebook unveils Google Photos photo transfer function

On June 5th (local time), Facebook released a tool that allows you to transfer photos or videos posted on Facebook to Google Photos. The tool began testing in Ireland in December 2019 and was also conducted in the US and Europe in March. It is using the code developed through DTP (Data Transfer Project) released in July 2018.

Until now, to change web services, even if you download a large amount of data, you need to upload it to another service again. Also, it was a problem that it could not be uploaded as it is depending on the data format. DTP was created to relieve such hassle and inconvenience.

Public data transmission can be set in the settings and privacy of Facebook, and a copy of your own Facebook information, photos or videos can be used in the transmission. Currently, you can only select Google Photos as the target, but it is said that it will be possible to transfer to other services in the future.

Although Facebook recently introduced a feature to delete all posts in bulk, you can also think of a way to transfer photos or videos to the Google port as a backup even when deleting past information at a time such as a job or a job change. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
