Russian star StarRocket is planning to use a small light – reflecting satellite to illuminate the brand logo and message in the night sky. I will use the night sky as a billboard.
The first customer is called Pepsi. They have already piloted a new energy drink, the Adrenaline Rush. Of course, Pepsi said he had admitted that he had used the artificial constellation to fly a preliminary test to promote beverages in the night sky, but said he had no plans to go further.
I was conducting an outdoor pilot test through a star rocket, and I tested the adrenaline rush logo ad in the stratosphere, but I did not plan to promote it using related technologies in the future.
Anyway, Star Rocket says that it can utilize the reflection cubesat to be used by the government to display various information if a disaster occurs. Satellites can display messages from 3 to 4 per day, rotating 400 to 500 km above the earth. The first test, called orbital display, is scheduled to end in 2021.
Experts say, however, that such an attempt could hinder astronomical observations and that if they continue to launch such satellites, they will increase space waste. Apart from the success of Pepsi ads, there is a possibility that advertising campaigns using the sky will increase in the future. For more information, please click here.
