Amazon also automates box packing operations

Amazon has unveiled a machine to automate the packaging of merchandise coming from a conveyor belt, which employs thousands of employees, into an appropriate size cardboard box. Amazon has said it has deployed two systems in more than 12 warehouses, so it is likely that all 24 of them will have the task of packing their products in corrugated boxes.

Amazon’s automated corrugated packaging machine is a warehouse where more than 2,000 employees are employed. Amazon has 55 centers in the United States, which can save up to 1,300 laborers by introducing automatic corrugated packaging machines. Amazon expects to recover the machine cost of more than $ 1 million per unit within two years.

Automated merchandise corrugated packaging machines automate one of Amazon’s most common warehouse operations. This is one example of how Amazon is pushing to cut labor costs and increase profits. Amazon is trying to automate everything from warehousing to shipping goods.

Amazon says it is testing new technologies to improve safety, shorten delivery times and improve overall efficiency. It also adds that increasing efficiency will lead to new jobs and reinvestments in new services for customers.

Dave Clark, executive vice president of Amazon operations, said Amazon is testing technology to reduce waste by reducing the packaging corrugated boxes in his Twitter account, and many may feel afraid of losing his job. Efficiency, waste reduction, and to work on other things.

Amazon says it will introduce its automatic corrugated packaging machines to lay personnel to other positions and new lines instead of laying off workers. Amazon has often been a problem due to its harsh working environment. It is also known that the turnover rate is very high for warehouse workers. By lowering high turnover rates, employees who have been working on pavement can expect to be helped by the company.

According to sources, the automatic merchandise corrugated packaging machine introduced into the Amazon warehouse is called CMC Machinery’s CMC CartonWrap d. It can be packed 600 ~ 7090 boxes per hour and it is said that packing work speed is 4 ~ 5 times faster than humans do manual work. However, the machine says one employee needs to send the goods ordered by the customer to the conveyor belt, one to check the adhesive for corrugated cardboard, and the other person to occasionally check the paper jam.

Amazon is also planning to increase its prime-only service delivery speed. However, automation of packaging operations is about efficiency and economy rather than speed. It has also been able to automate most of the packaging work, including the SmartPac, which has evolved from patents acquired to send merchandise from envelopes in the Amazon warehouse.

There are Wal-Mart, Shindo.com and Shutterfly, as well as Amazon. This means that the packing work efficiency is being improved. Wal-Mart introduced the machine three to five years ago.

Of course, these machines are not without fault. The CMC Cartoon Lab also needs an engineer to troubleshoot the machine if something goes wrong. Nevertheless, Amazon has proven that it is sufficiently useful in warehouses and has expressed its desire to introduce it to the busy warehouses of Seattle, Frankfurt, Milan, Amsterdam and Manchester.
