SpaceX applies for additional launch of 30,000 internet satellites

Starlink, a satellite project for broadband Internet that SpaceX is envisioning, originally envisioned 7,000, but later increased the number to 12,000. However, according to reports, according to the latest plan, SpaceX has applied for permission to use radio waves for the new Starlink satellites, which again increased the number to 30,000, to the International Telecommunication Union ITU.

The ITU and the FCC of the Federal Communications Commission have already licensed 12,000 bands. However, this application contains an additional 30,000 wireless communication devices. The FCC has filed an application for permission to use all 20 radio waves with the ITU and requested permission to fly 1,500 satellites in low Earth orbit. SpaceX plans to deploy these satellites at an altitude of 330 to 580 km.

Of course, there are also concerns about using the satellite communication band. One expert pointed out that although it is the emptyest at altitude, it is also the location where manned spacecraft, including the International Space Station ISS, fly well, so the movement of numerous satellites here will also affect manned flight in the future.

However, it is not known whether the Starlink project will launch 42,000 satellites altogether, as it has requested permission for an additional 30,000 satellites.
