Google Nest Hub Max supports group video calls

Google announced that it will support group video calls using Google Duo and Google Meet on its smart display, Nest Hub Max, in the US market on June 25 (local time). Announced.

Until now, 1:1 video calls using Nest Hub Max were possible. However, group calls that can be used on smartphones and Google Duo on the web have not been supported. With this support, even people who do not use smartphones or PCs can make group video calls without burden. Google Duo supports group video calls with up to 32 people.

For example, parents living apart, as well as independent siblings and relatives can make video calls at the same time. If you use the frame function of Nest Hub Max, you can use it without worry because it adjusts the angle of view of the camera while moving in the kitchen. Of course, you need the Duo mobile app to create a group. Of course, it can be used not only with Nest Hub Max, but also with other devices such as Lenovo Smart Display. However, since it does not have a Nest Hub camera, you cannot use Duo video calls.

In addition, using Google Meat supports video calls for up to 100 people. If there is an event in the calendar, you can easily join by clicking “OK Google, I want to join the meeting”. This application will be conducted in the United States first, and the schedule for delivery outside the United States is not yet known. Related information can be found here .
