Google announced the suspension of support for Expeditions on November 14 (local time). In addition, it announced that the app for virtual reality content will be deleted from the Play Store and App Store in June 2021.
Expedition added that in an article that it will expand Google Arts and Culture, Google will continue the 360-degree tour captured by the project, but will move to Google Art and Culture. The decision is made to make the content easier for students and educators to use.
These contents are provided along with other contents, including the Art & Culture Museum tour, and are free to all users. Notable is that one month has passed since Google announced the suspension of support for the virtual reality platform Daydream. Launched four years ago, the project tried to provide a low-cost virtual reality experience, but couldn’t reach its full potential. Related information can be found here .
