Porsche 911 supports Android Auto for 2022 models

Porsche 911 2022 model announced the introduction of Android Auto for the first time in the brand

Android Auto defines the Android OS interface and functions for automobile systems developed by Google as navigation. The smartphone connection can be used wired or wireless, and Android Auto can be used even in the state of a smartphone.

Porsche has so far only responded to the smart car system Apple CarPlay. However, in the 2022 Porsche 911 series, the new Porsche Communication Management PCM (Porsche Communication Management) will be introduced, enabling Android smartphone connectivity.

Of course, the CarPlay connection function is also provided as so far, and you can touch Google Maps on the 10.9-inch display. The new PCM also includes a 3-month free trial of the vehicle infotainment system (SiriusXM 360L).

Another interesting update is the optional Remote ParkAssist on ahepfd with PDK gearbox, which allows you to call vehicles next to you from your smartphone or move them to a parking space.

In addition, the 2022 Porsche 911 series will cost $101,200 for Carrera. The GT3 starts at $161,100 and the Turbo S Cabling Ole starts at $219,800. It’s a high upgrade if you just use Android Auto, but you can expect the adoption of Android Auto in other Porsche vehicles in the future. Related information can be found here.
