PC shipments in the first quarter, up 55% year-on-year

However, the growth rate turned around from the second quarter of 2020, and the growth rate finally reached 55% in the first quarter of 2021. Compared to the number of units shipped, 82.7 million units in the first quarter of 2021 is the highest since the first quarter of 2012. If you look closely, 67.8 million units were notebooks and mobile workstations, up 79% year-on-year, and 14.8 million desktop PCs and desktop workstations, down 5% year-on-year.
