Aim for the game market… Galaxy Book Odyssey coming out

The Galaxy brand is mainly based on smartphones, but recently, it is also putting power on laptops. Samsung Electronics announced a number of Galaxy Book notebooks at the unpack event held on April 28 (local time). Among them, the most popular model is the Galaxy Book Odyssey, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop.

This product is equipped with an 11th generation Intel Core H series processor as a CPU. Detailed specifications have not been revealed, but it is likely to be Core i5 and i7. In addition, the GPU adopted the GeForce RTX 30 series. The higher model is said to be able to mount the RTX 3050 Ti as well. The Odyssey is also the first laptop to feature this GPU.

The display supports 15.6 inches and the resolution is 1920×1080. The adoption of TFTW-LCD with excellent response speed instead of AMOLED can be said to be game-conscious. The RAM is up to 32GB, and the storage space is up to 1TB of NVMe SSD, and it can be expanded up to 2TB by using an additional storage slot and a separate SSD.

Interfaces support 2 USB Type C and 3 USB 3.2, HDMI and microSD, 3.5mm jack, RJ-45 wired LAN, and WiFi 6 for wireless LAN. The built-in battery is 83Wh and comes with a 135W USB Type-C charger. It measures 356.6×229.1×17.7mm and weighs 1.85kg. Pricing starts at $1,399 and is expected to launch in August in select markets. Related information can be found here.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a convertible model that can be used as a tablet because the screen rotates 360 degrees. The display is prepared in 13.3 inches and 15.6 inches, and the screen supports both touch operation and S-pen. CPU has 11th generation core processor, RAM capacity is 8 or 16GB, and internal storage space is 256 or 512GB. AKG brand speaker is built into the body to support Dolby Atmos, and the battery life is up to 21 hours. Prices start at $1,199.99 for 13.3 inches and $1,299.99 for 15.6 inches.

The Galaxy Book Pro is a general notebook that does not rotate the screen. Similarly, it is equipped with 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch AMOLED displays and corresponds to the S-pen. The features of this product are that it has a flat, lightweight body, and weighs less than 0.9kg. Specifications such as processor and lifespan are no different from the Galaxy Book Pro 360. Prices start at $999.99 for 13.3 inches and $1,199.99 for 15.6 inches.

In addition, the Galaxy Book also has a 15.4-inch LCD display and 11th generation core processor or Celeron and Pentium Gold. The base model price is expected to be around $800.
