Circle Guitar is an electric guitar made by Anthony Dickens, a commercial design office located in London, UK, in collaboration with an engineer to play strings with a rotor. Like a music box, the rotor has nails and is designed to tap strings while the rotor rotates.

An empty right hand, unable to play the strings, performs tasks such as muting the strings, creating harmonics, and blocking a specific string signal at a switch located at the bottom of the pickup. The sound from the strings is amplified and recorded for each string on a multi-channel hexaphonic pickup. Editing is possible, such as applying effects or mixing and canceling sounds with only a specific string tone.
The guitar body has six switches and can turn signals to the amplifier, mixer or computer on or off. The circle can rotate at speeds up to 250 bpm, and there are 128 grooves in it to control the pattern of striking the strings. The nails are held by magnetic force and the circles can be programmed to play the strings with different forces, making it possible to play infinite patterns with a combination of rotation speed, nail position, and tapping strength.
