Weight 9.5 kg… UK handmade carbon bike

The AKHAL SHADOW is a British handmade bicycle made of carbon material, named after the old thoroughbred horse breed, the Akhal Teke. Weighing only 9.5 kg, it is driven by a belt drive and production is limited to 99 units. Light and strong carbon material is used and the body strength is increased with a monocoque structure.

What catches the eye is the button wheel like a propeller. It is also characterized by reduced air resistance and being lightweight because it is made of carbon. In addition, the frame supporting the seat post is located up to the pedal to maintain strength, and the monocoque structure helps distribute the occupant’s weight forward and backward.

The front fork, seat post, and system-integrated handle are also made of carbon, with Pirelli (P Zero 28-622) tires, Shimano BR-R9100 front and rear brakes, and Shimano (ALFINE FC-S501) cranksets. In addition, both the parts supporting the rear wheel hub and the fixed head were machined from aluminum billets and chrome plated. Pricing must be negotiated separately by e-mail. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
