Banmoof’s extended battery pack for electric bikes

Dutch e-bike maker VanMoof has released the PowerBank, an extended battery pack for the VanMoof S3 and X3 models, which are currently on the market.

The power bank is an extended battery pack that is installed at the edge of the triangle part of the semi-moof S3 and X3 frames. When the cable in the tube is connected to the main body power connector, it starts charging and allows an additional 45 to 100 km of driving range.

The power bank can be removed without tools, and charging is done using the charger provided for the Banmoop S3 and X3. If you connect the power bank, you can run 45 to 100 km, so you can simply remove the power bank and charge it at home. There is no need to carry the S3 or X3 body to the house on purpose to charge the body battery.

The shape placed under the triangular part of the bicycle frame also allows additional parts to be carried without discomfort and does not harm the design. If you already have a half-moof model, this is a useful product. The Banmoof S3 and X3 support Apple’s Find My app, so theft countermeasures are certain, and the design and driving performance are good. Related information can be found here.
