App usage data information disclosed on Google Play

On May 6 (local time), Google announced that it would add a Safety Section to Google Play through the Android Developer Blog. From the end of 2020, Apple has been displaying a personal information confirmation screen in the App Store that discloses what data the app is collecting, and Google follows it.

In the safety section, the data collected by the app and its usage are explained, and information about security such as encryption is also shared. Because these changes have a lot of impact on app developers, this announcement is in the form of prior information sharing. More details will start appearing on Google Play this summer from the first quarter of 2022, when the privacy policy and guidelines are announced. In addition, it is said that safety section information will be required if the app is released or updated after the second quarter of 2022.

Of course, this disclosure of information also applies to Google Apps. The response in the App Store seems to be responding to Google Play, although it has even been said that Google is delaying the update to avoid displaying privacy labels. Related information can be found here.

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
