Motorola unveils simultaneous remote wireless charging technology for 4 units

Motorola has introduced a new version of Space Charging, a remote wireless charging technology that can transmit even when the smartphone and the transmitter are separated.

In February, Mororola also introduced the Motorola One Hyper, which can remotely wirelessly charge two smartphones from a distance of 1m. Also in May, it announced a partnership with Guru Wireless with the goal of introducing smartphones to this technology.

In this space charging, 1,600 antennas were used for power transmission and reception. As a result, the number of devices that can be charged simultaneously has increased to four. The wireless charging distance has also been extended to 3m. In addition, there is no problem in using wireless charging even if an obstacle is installed between the power transmission device and the smartphone or the angle of the smartphone is widened to 100 degrees horizontally.

Remote wireless charging technology that requires installation on a charging stand, which has been an obstacle to wireless charging technology, seems to be commercialized soon, as Xiaomi and Oppo are already demonstrating their technology. Related information can be found here.
