Spotify Expands Podcast Monthly Subscriptions to 33 Markets

Monthly subscriptions to Spotify podcasts are now available outside of the US. It will be available in 29 markets including the UK and Australia from November 17 (local time), and will also start in Austria, Canada, France and Germany from the 22nd.

Monthly subscriptions to podcasts became available in the United States last August. I am using Anchor, a podcast production platform. The country-specific system available this time is the same as the US version, and subscription-only content can only be viewed on iOS or Android apps.

Podcasters can choose from 20 different pricing options. The platform charges a 5% commission, but it will be available free of charge until 2023. Related information can be found here.
