The Louvre Museum unveiled its entire collection online

The Louvre, said to be the most visited museum in the world, has seen a surge in website access as the city continues to be closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, the Louvre Museum announced that 482,000 pieces, including works to be shown in museums and works in storage facilities in northern France, will be released online free of charge. The public database (Louvre site des collections) is available for download as well as viewing.

The collection is divided into eight categories: paintings and drawings, sculptures, furniture, textiles, ornaments, books, and objects. A total of 10,128 paintings are in the collection, and you can filter the time of creation, type of work, current public location, and author information. You can also download it after checking the terms and conditions by clicking the download button at the bottom right of the image. Related information can be found here.
