The European space agency ESA is developing tablets for lunar exploration. To be precise is to develop software that can be used on tablets, not hardware.
Called the Electronic Field Book, this tablet has location information and data sharing, voice chat, behavior data recording and maps, terminology, and a mineral library. As with many apps on a smartphone or tablet, you can provide your astronaut with customized applications for lunar exploration.
Astronauts who leave the ground can not but absolutely have to follow the control center instructions in the face of problems. However, if you have an electronic tablet or a coping strategy or manual, you can solve the problem on the spot. The hardware itself is called a Samsung tablet.
The product was tested earlier this year on an island in Spain. Although there are many lava caves on the island, tests conducted at locations with poor accessibility have shown good performance 100 meters from each other. For more information, please click here .
