It is a short film made using game engine Unreal during GDC 2019 which is a game developer conference. This video was co-authored by game developers using more than 1,000 terrain materials in Iceland using Unreal 4.21 and the 3D physical library (Quixel).
Epic Games explains that with Unreal 4.21, the heart of the real-time pipeline, you can work with the library at any time, eliminating the need for previsualization and post-production. The production team has created a virtual camera that can physically grasp the motion of the video by using virtual reality, and can realize more realistic images.
