100% charge in 17 minutes?

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is developing technology to charge 100% of smartphone in 17 minutes.

The 100W Super Charge Turbo is the main character. This product can charge your smartphone quickly within a limited time. The company also unveiled a 4,000mAh smartphone with this technology and a simultaneous charging of a 3,700mAh smartphone using Super VOOC (SuperVOOC), a high-speed charging technology. Charging at the same time, the timer shows the charge time in minutes and compared.

The power supplied to the smartphone using this technology is 18V × 4A = 72W. 8.5V × 3.3A = 28W using the existing technology. That’s 2.5 times the difference. Of course, due to the technology being developed, the 100W supercharged turbo is somewhat more unstable than the super VOOC due to the difference between 3A and 4.5A.

But after 17 minutes, the smartphone with 100W Super Charger Turbo was charged. In the case of smartphone adopting Super VOOC, it is charged to 65% based on 17 minutes. Of course, the technology is still under development, and yet the detailed specifications for the 100W supercharged turbo have not been disclosed. It also does not know the effect on battery life.
