CoinBase, the largest cipher exchange in the United States, reported last year an estimated $ 520 million in sales. Earlier reports showed coin-based sales of $ 1.3 billion last year. If this report is correct, it seems that it had less than half the sales than originally expected.
Bloomberg said it expects coin-based sales to reach $ 1.3 billion in 2018 last November. We saw a decline in the currency price, but we expected sales to increase 40% from the previous year, and there was a voice in which we were impressed by the growth of the exchange business.
However, according to Reuters news reports, CoinBase reported to the UK authorities last year that non-US sales grew 20% year-on-year to $ 173 million. This corresponds to about a third of total sales. That’s why total sales are estimated at $ 520 million.
In October, Coinbase reported that it is planning an IPO and that its corporate value is expected to reach $ 7 billion to $ 8 billion. For more information, please click here .
