IKEA (IKEA) has launched a series of furniture for the disabled, ThisAbles, with the Israeli handicap support group.
The product focuses on ease of use for people with disabilities. The most striking thing is that all the products are provided through 3D printer data. If you take a sofa, for example, you usually do not care about the angle or the height to attach the leg to the sofa. But people with disabilities may feel uncomfortable. Disable series can adjust sofa legs as desired. You can also use a large handle that can open and close the cupboard without having to move your fingers, or a switch that can be easily turned on and off by attaching it to an electric switch.
The Disable series released this year are all 13 species. All the data can be downloaded from the official site for free and output to the 3D printer. As the individual can output and write it separately, the type of disability differs from person to person in the company position, but it is possible to support it without having to mass-produce.
