From July 1 (local time), Uber will display electric bike sharing startups JUMP and Lime scooters on the main screen of its app in some parts of the United States.
Reportedly, the sign will be applied first in Atlanta and San Diego. Uber plans to add electric assist bikes or electric scooters in more locations in the future. However, no plans for specific development in the future have been revealed.
Meanwhile, Billy Guernier, who heads Uber’s new mobile platform segment, says that new mobility is at the heart of the Uber app. Starting with Atlanta and San Diego, Uber app users can see jumps or lime scooters, and new mobility is easy. It said that it will be available as an option.
Uber acquired Jump a year ago, and recently announced that it will upgrade its jump scooter and bike. Not only that, but it also formed a partnership with Lime, and some rumors are about acquiring Lime. Related information can be found here .
