Send notifications to family with Google Assistant

Google has announced Assignable Reminders, a new feature that sends notifications to friends and family through Google Assistant. There is a high probability of forgetting a small request, such as doing the laundry later or going to the store to buy ketchup. Now, instead of remembering these things, people can easily receive notifications through the Google Assistant.

How to use this function is simple. With the Google Assistant running, you can set it up like “Please remind my child to feed the frog at 6pm.” This way, when the time comes, a notification is displayed through a smart speaker, smartphone, or smart display, and you talk again at the specified time.

Of course, the target to send notifications must be registered in Google Address Book. You can connect and use if voice matching is selected for a member registered in the Google family group, smart speaker, or smart display. In addition, when using notifications assigned to children under the age of 13, parents must create an account through the Family Link platform in accordance with privacy terms and pair the account and child’s voice with the Google Home speaker. Other location-based notifications are also possible.

Of course, you can block this notification. To be able to block as many weird notifications as possible. This blocking function can be said to exist primarily to block children who play tricks on their parents. This function will be applied sequentially in the US, UK and Australia from September.
