Robot tail helping a sense of balance

Arque is a robot tail made by a research team at Keio University in Japan during the SIGGRAPH event held at the LA Convention Center in the United States from July 28 to August 1.

Arge is an assistant robot for a sense of balance. The user can attach it to the waist and use it, but since the skeleton parts are connected one by one, the length and weight can be varied depending on the height. The internal structure is a pneumatic artificial muscle, a part that tracks the movement of the body installed on the user’s upper body, and this part and the artificial muscle work together to support balance by bending the tail according to the movement of the body. Arke’s skeletal structure itself is said to be modeled after the hippocampus. Related information can be found here .

Through the monthly AHC PC and HowPC magazine era, he has watched 'technology age' in online IT media such as ZDNet, electronic newspaper Internet manager, editor of Consumer Journal Ivers, TechHolic publisher, and editor of Venture Square. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
