On September 19th (local time), Google announced a new feature to be introduced in the fall of the Chrome browser.
First, Chrome for Android introduces a grid to the tab list. Until now, finding that tab has been cumbersome, but it’s easy to find it with a grid. Grid display is already introduced in the iOS version. In this way, the Android version will be followed, but new features will also be added. It’s a grouping of tabs. You can select tabs you want to organize from the tab list and overlap them, so when you open the tabs, you can switch grouping tabs with a tab switcher added at the bottom of the screen.
It also adds new features to the desktop version. If the current tab is open and the page title is unreadable, hovering over the tab will display the page title, but in the future each page thumbnail will be added to this popup. This allows you to grasp the content of the page without having to open each tab.
It also adds custom features such as background and color. Even now, you can display the web store in settings and introduce color and background themes, but new features can be customized through a dedicated menu without going through the web store. Not all of these features are intrinsic to the browser, but it seems to be helpful in terms of improving productivity. Related information can be found here .
