Pop singer creating a cryptocurrency city in Senegal

Acon, a singer and businessman, announced that it is signing a contract with Senegal, his home country, to build a cryptographic city where all transactions are carried out using the cryptographic asset Akoin named after him.

Singer Acorn, the first solo singer to be ranked 1st or 2nd on the Billboard Hot 100, and the world’s No. 1 artist in ringtone sales, was born in the United States. He regards Senegal as his precious hometown and has made various efforts. In 2007, KONFIDENCE FOUNDATION was established, and since Senegal lived in a village without electricity, a fund called Akon Lighting Africa was jointly established in 2014 to improve power infrastructure. It supports solar power projects in 25 countries in Africa.

What he has been doing since a year ago is the construction of Acorn City, a crypto city that announced the signing of this contract. The city will be created in 2017, a 5-minute drive from Blaise Diagne airport in western Senegal. The site area is 8km ² .
