Disney+ joins 26.8 million in 3 months of service

In the first quarter of 2020, Disney announced that Disney +, a streaming service launched in November 2019, had 26.8 million subscribers in the three months until February 2020.

Disney Plus provided exclusive Disney works, Marvel, and Star Wars series, and attracted more than 1 million subscribers before the service began. The number of subscribers reached 26.8 million within three months of service, far exceeding the 20 million originally expected by analysts. CEO Eiger also expressed his satisfaction.

In addition, Hulu, a video service that became a subsidiary of Disney, also introduced the Disney Plus Plan, increasing the number of subscribers by 33% from 22.8 million to 30.4 million. Disney Plus is expected to bring new revenue to Disney, with millions of subscriptions expected over the next few months. Also, as of February 2020, Disney Plus is available in five countries: the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. It is expected to start in almost all major markets within the next two years before the service starts, so it may be available in Korea in 2021. Related information can be found here .
