Custom parts for IKEA to 3D printer…

Teenage Engineering and IKEA jointly announced in February 2018, the joint product FREKVENS series, launched in the U.S. after two years.

Teen Age Engineering has unveiled 3D data for accessories that can be attached to Preqvance series lights and speakers. The data format can be downloaded to STL and printed on a 3D printer at home or office.

Since the Preqvance series itself assumes party use, there are many items that can be used at parties such as handles and cup holders that are easy to carry.

For reference, this is not the first time IKEA has used a 3D printer. Previously, Israeli IKEA distributed data for 3D printing of handles attached to existing IKEA furniture for the purpose of improving accessibility. In addition, it has partnered with UNYQ, a design company that deals with medical wearable devices using 3D printers, to announce 3D printing products for gamers. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
