Virtual reality too…佛 Ancient Mural Cave on Google App

Google Arts & Culture added a collection of Chauvet Cave, France, on February 27 (local time).

The Shobe Cave was discovered in 1994 and has 260 animal paintings and the oldest existing murals from 32,000 years ago. However, it is now banned for protection, so the public cannot see it. Therefore, Google reproduced the representative murals here and the bones of prehistoric animals in the cave in 3D.

This 3D model can be viewed by the user moving up, down, left and right. Even if you go directly to the cave, it is impossible to appreciate the murals and historical heritage while moving freely. It is a characteristic of this app that you can enjoy such an unprecedented appreciation.

It also released a 10-minute virtual reality video that reproduces the interior of the animal in 3D. Here, you can see 12 typical murals of Shobe Cave in a dark place with only bonfires and torches. In order to increase the sense of reality in the cave, there was a little more tension, such as a bear walking around. Virtual reality video supports HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, but you can watch the video without a virtual reality headset. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
