Smart ring manufacturer Oura and RNI of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Research Institute at West Virginia University announced the results of their efforts to prevent the spread of Corona 19 at public road response medical institutions. By combining smart ring measurements and AI analysis, they can predict 24 hours before the onset.
Oura ring can measure body temperature and measure your heart sleep level. From this value, measure the level of stress and the like. Based on these measurements, the program developed by RNI uses AI to integrate physiological, psychological, cognitive, and behavioral rhythms such as autonomic nervous system, fatigue, and activity circadian, and comprehensively analyzes individual conditions and symptoms such as coughing and fever. For three weeks, RNI worked with hospitals across the country, including West Virginia, New York City and Nashville, Philadelphia, and more than 1,000 frontline medical workers checked the data. In addition, although it is expected 24 hours in advance, efforts are being made to predict this more than 3 days in advance.
Using a similar approach, the University of California San Francisco campus is also conducting research. If the infection can be predicted before the onset of symptoms, the risk of infection to other people can be reduced by that much, and the effect in preventing the spread of infection is expected.
