Provides free license for ventilator developed by US screw

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Research Institute, JPL, has independently developed a ventilator that has become scarce worldwide due to the Corona 19 epidemic. The ventilator is said to have been successfully tested with a high fidelity human patient simulator at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical School. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration FDA has already applied and approved the emergency ventilator use permit.

This ventilator, called Ventilator Intervention Technology Accessible Locally (VITAL), was designed by JPL in 37 days, and it consists of one-seventh-level parts than a general ventilator, making it suitable for mass production at low cost. In addition, the expected use period of 3 to 4 months cannot replace the existing ventilator, but it can compensate for the shortage of ventilators in temporary hospital facilities.

NASA said the FDA approval is an important milestone in the best exemplary process the U.S. government can do in times of crisis. The ventilator is investing in space exploration and the technology and expertise accumulated in the past decades of unknown challenges. He stressed that it is a good example of whether it will be reduced to further development.

JPL said that the California Institute of Technology, which has partnered with it, is looking for companies to apply and manufacture in the medical industry according to the free license policy to quickly deliver VITAL to the field. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
