Shepherd’s spiral four-legged robot

New Zealand robotics company Rocos has partnered with Boston Dynamics, known for its four-legged robot Spot. Locos is a cloud-based platform developer that manages robot tasks. It has built a system that can remotely manage Spot using its own platform. Combined with the Locos platform, it will make it easier to manage and operate remotely and make data easier to use.

Spot has the ability to cope with harsh environments, such as durability, agility to travel without problems in rough terrain, and the ability to accurately map the surrounding environment. Therefore, it aims to create a safe and efficient business by remotely managing and operating spots in various environments and retrieving data to provide feedback to existing business systems.

For example, if you have obtained data on how much crops can be harvested by investigating the farmland using spots, you can perform efficient work by accurately predicting the yield without going to the farmland. This efficient business realization could benefit not only agriculture, but any industry where the use of autonomous robots is expected.

In fact, an experiment of chasing sheep with Sapat using this system is also revealed in the video. It’s one of the experiments to find a way to use the spot, but in a few years, a shepherd who works in remote places may appear. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
