Messenger app signal, cryptocurrency transfer between individuals is being tested

Signal, known as the most confidential messenger app that does not collect user information, announced that it will conduct a test of the interpersonal remittance function of MobileCoin, one of its crypto assets, in the UK.

Signal released the beta version of the app on April 6 (local time). The beta version has improved performance and fixed bugs, but added Signal Payments, which allows users to transfer mobile coins only to residents in the UK.

Users can connect mobile coins to Signal using Signal Payment, send mobile coins to friends and family, or check transaction details. However, it is impossible to access balances and full transaction history in mobile coin design and signals. Mobile coins made it difficult to check transaction records by other companies using a concealment method, but transaction occurrence is guaranteed through a zero-knowledge proof.

Mobile coin is made under the technical guidance of signal producer Moxie Marlinspike, so it can be said that it has a high affinity with signal. However, some point out that such hidden currency is a hotbed for financial crimes such as money laundering. One expert pointed out that although Signal is valuable as an encrypted messenger app, it is inevitable that the fear of defining or combining the good aspects that Signal is a cryptographic messenger app as a crypto asset.
