Tesla fined for violating air pollution standards

An automobile plant owned by electric vehicle company Tesla in Fremont, Calif., has been instructed to pay a $750,000 fine and install large-scale solar panels since 2015 for violating 33 air pollution standards.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), the regulator of air pollution in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, announced an agreement to pursue a large-scale solar panel project, paying a fine of $750,000 to address violations of air pollution standards caused by the Tesla plant which.

BAAQMD points out that Tesla has not installed or refurbished equipment and conducted the necessary exhaust tests for 33 violations of air pollution standards since 2015. Currently, Tesla has corrected 33 violations.

Tesla is fined $1 million, of which $750,000 will be paid directly to BAAQMD and the remaining $250,000 of solar panels will be donated to the San Francisco Bay Community Health Protection Program.

Although the location of the solar panels has not yet been determined, BAAQMD made a statement that Tesla has promised to provide a comprehensive environmental management system and that Tesla will continue to comply with air pollution standards in the future.
