Microsoft has released a video containing future concepts using its online meeting tool, Teams.
Microsoft’s Teams Rooms allows certified partners to offer a lineup of Teams products. In the future, it is expected that a more realistic online experience will be realized through a large screen, optimized camera, and spatial audio technology.
The video presents examples of the adoption of screens in various sizes, and introduces the Teams interface, where participants line up at the bottom of the screen, and presentations, actions, and chats appear at the top. On a large screen, the remote participant is displayed in life-size and can be placed according to the camera’s gaze position to realize realistic eye contact. Also, by applying spatial audio, it is easy to know which participant is speaking. The largest system also uses a high-quality microphone embedded in the ceiling, and an intelligent camera facing the participant.
Online meetings are in high demand due to COVID-19. Microsoft Teams can draw attention from companies seeking to promote work efficiency and employee health by presenting future concepts.
