The robot dog Spot, developed by Boston Dynamics, is now able to pick up objects by mouth. In the demo video released by the company, Spot showed the movement of slowly selecting the one on the floor from the part of the face that looked like a human hand at the end of a long neck.
One of Spot’s specialties is that it can acquire tasks and skills through image recognition and machine learning. Therefore, it can be easily learned to move through space and to take images for remote monitoring, and what was newly introduced this time was to pick up a dog toy, find a person, and deliver it.
