Virgin Galactic, the company behind founder Richard Branson’s success in space travel, has announced that it is planning a lottery to win free commercial space flight tickets for SpaceShipTwo to provide the same experience to the general public.
This event was planned through a partnership between Virgin Galactic and Omaze. Omaz is an organization that receives funding from charities through various prizes. Therefore, this ticket can also be applied for free, but if you donate it to a charity that is closer to space travel (Space for Humanity), the number of entries will increase.
The deadline to apply is September 1 and the winner will be announced on September 29. If elected, you can get a free space ticket, which originally cost $250,000, but you’ll need to take some time off from work or school because you’ll need to get the training you need to board SpaceShip Two. The winner will also be awarded a tour of Spaceport America, which serves as a space marina.
