Star Trek 90-year-old Captain Kirk goes to real space

Actor William Shatner, who played Captain Kirk in the science-fiction drama Star Trek, has been named the world’s oldest space traveler. At the age of 90, he boarded with three other crew members on flight NS-18, a blue duck, crossed the Carmen Line at an altitude of 100 km, reached 106 km of space, and returned safely.

Blue Origin Vice President Audrey Powers, Flatnet Labs co-founder Chris Boscheisen, and MIDI data co-creator Glenn Debris were also on board this flight. Blue Origin is planning another manned flight within the year.

Of course, he didn’t take on the captain’s role this time, but the fact that Captain Kirk actually returned from a visit to outer space, the last frontier, might be terrifying for sci-fi enthusiasts. From the perspective of Blue Origin, it can be said that it was an important part of advertising activities. Blue Origin’s recent criticism of the harmful work environment or the litigation with NASA for the development of a lunar lander may be a dimension to resolve the image deterioration caused by the issue.

Although the manned flight was successful this time, it is completely different from whether Blue Origin will solve the problem and lead to a positive effect that can lead to the development of the lunar lander contract as desired. In any case, it is clear that Shatner’s spaceflight is a bright topic for Blue Origin. Related information can be found here.

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
