The Ethernet chain announced that 51% attack (51% attack) against the encrypted Intellectual Classic was successful, but the Etherium Classic developer denies it.
The Ethernet chain tweeted that it succeeded in 51% attack on Etherium Classic by reorganizing more than 100 blocks. A 51% attack refers to controlling the network by taking more than 50% of the total computational power to have a hash rate. If this attack is successful, the Etherium Classic will be able to commit fraud, such as delays in transactions or forgery of transaction records.
However, as previously mentioned, the Etherium Classic developer denies the 51% attack. It is pointed out that it did not check the double payment.
Because of the current ongoing potential 51% attack on #ETC we have temporarily increased confirmations on our ETC mining pool. We will notify you once the network has stabilized again
