Bloomberg “Investing $ 500 Million in Coal → Natural Gas Conversion”

Michael R. Bloomberg Former New York Mayor has promised to invest $ 500 million to shut down or convert all 241 coal-fired power plants in the United States to natural gas. The funds will be invested in the Beyond Coal project aimed at reducing coal-fired power and will be used for local government lobbying activities for the next 30 years.

In a statement, Bloomberg said, “We are fighting climate change for the government to deny the impact of climate change on coal-fired power, but we can not expect government cooperation for at least two years. Nature is waiting for politics to change. And he said he could not wait.

The funds will also be used to support local elections to promote renewable energy such as wind power and solar power. Although renewable energy is growing, fossil fuel consumption has also increased slightly in 2018. Of course it is oil and not coal. But as the United Nations is worse than expected for climate change, there is some indication that a major crisis may come in 2040 as soon as possible.

US President George W. Bush has supported fossil fuels, such as coal, and the US government’s efforts to curb support for renewable energy, the US environment policy says, can not help but depend on private funds. For more information, please click here .
