On January 29 (local time), Google launched Tangi, a video sharing service that was born in Area 120, an experimental project laboratory. This service has the purpose of sharing creative know-how such as cooking, makeup, styling, and various DIY. Posting this as a video of up to 60 seconds.
When it comes to short video sharing, TikTok and Byte are floating, but the difference is that these platforms are entertainment-oriented, but Tanji focuses on creative. The name’Tangible’ is said to have been inspired by Teaching and Tangible (TeAch aNd GIve and “tangible”).
The comment function also has a unique feature. It has a function called Try It. Apart from general opinion, the user who viewed the video could actually share the results of the attempt according to the video. In the know-how video, it can be helpful in that you can check directly from other opinions on what you want to know unexpectedly about what happened after someone tried it.
Tanji is already providing content in cooperation with creators who make videos of such content. Not everyone can upload videos yet, but you can register on the waiting list. A dedicated app is rare for Google, and the iOS version has been released on the App Store, but the Android version has not yet been released. There is also a web version, so you can watch videos on a PC. Related information can be found here .
