Corona 19 explodes… Instacart doubled as support team

With the outbreak banned by Corona 19, the Instacart delivery service meets unprecedented demand, strengthening support for buyers, customers and cooperative retailers. On April 10 (local time), it was announced that the support team would more than double the size from 1,200 to 3,000. The team is answering questions about Instagram delivery, address errors, and general issues.

Demand for Insta Cart is increasing by more than 300% compared to the previous year, and employment is also increasing significantly. The number of Insta Cart shoppers was 350,000, a whopping 150,000 more than 200,000 two weeks ago. Instacart announced that it plans to hire and contract an additional 15,000 people to the support team by May. This will increase the total number of teams to 18,000.

Some of the new hires for Instagram are those who have recently been fired in the tourism or travel industry. As demand increases, the number of shoppers is more than ever, and InstaCart’s strategy is to expand the support team to keep the shopper network flexible. In March, new features are also being introduced to make delivery more flexible and faster, such as expanding wage policies and announcing contactless payment options. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
